AU Art Dept faculty member Priscilla Roggenkamp for being selected for an Art Residency in Maine

Congrats to AU Art Dept faculty member Priscilla Roggenkamp for being selected for an Art Residency in Maine- Priscilla will be one of 45 artists chosen to participate in an Open Studio Residency at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts in Deer Isle, ME.

 Haystack is a place committed to 'the investigations of craft in an aesthetic climate, honoring tradition while acknowledging the rich potential for contemporary visual art". This residency is made possible by a $2 million grant from the Windgate Charitable Foundation. This two-week residency will provide a setting and a community for artistic creation, contemplation and creative growth.

Art Awards-2015 Juried Student Art Exhibition

The award winners have been announced for the Ashland University 2015 Juried Student Art Exhibition that will run through April 1 in the University’s Coburn Gallery.

This exhibition offers $1,300 in awards to student artists, including Best in Show, Everett S. Caldemeyer Award, Dean’s Award , People’s Choice Award and awards in each of the seven art areas: painting, printmaking, sculpture, digital media, design, drawing and ceramics. The awards were announced at the opening reception of the exhibition on March 12, 2015.

The outside juror for exhibition was John Hunting Hansen, he is a Studio Technician and Adjunct Assistant Professor for the College of Wooster.  John accepted 78 entries of the 144 art entries submitted.

Award winners include:
