ASHLAND, Ohio – The award winners have been announced for the Ashland University 2012 Juried Student Art Exhibition that will run through March 30 in the University’s Coburn Gallery.
The outside juror for the exhibition was Christy Gray director of the RED DOT project in Cleveland ,Ohio. and she was responsible for selecting the exhibition consisting of 89 artworks from among a competitive field of 168 student entries and also designating the award recipients. Gray is an artist and designer who grew up in Shelby, Ohio. She graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in interior design and worked in design for a private corporation until joining RED DOT in 2005. Her textile art can be found in private collections throughout Northeast Ohio.
