The Coburn Gallery at Ashland University will host an Art + Design Department Alumni exhibition celebrating the creativity, innovation, and dedication of its alumni over the years. The exhibition will feature more than 75 artworks created by alumni from across the United States.
The Art Department Alumni exhibition opens on Thursday, Sept. 2 with a reception from 4:30-6:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
The exhibition includes alumni artists Christopher Triner, North Canton; Jennifer Winkler, West Salem; Brandon Doup, Butler; Larry Schiemann, North Carolina; Robin Roberts, Ashland; Mary Jo Colville Worthington, Munroe Falls; Kaylin Henry, Ashland; Dennis Eckert, Dublin; Sarah Toby, Ashland; Jennifer Clingerman, Pennsylvania; Susie Schwartz, Ashland; Lee Ann Rudd, Salesville; Alison Echelberry, Westerville; Dale Olson, Chagrin Falls; Hannah Thome, West Virginia; Allison Quay, Medina; Cecelia McIntyre, Wooster; Hallie LeBlanc, Michigan; Danielle Scull, Maryland; Schuyler Berger, Ashland; Ashley Bush, Sandusky; Zula Kile, Mansfield; and Mark Soergel, Ashland.
On Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 6 p.m., the Coburn Gallery will be hosting an artist talk featuring alumnus Christopher Triner (AU Class of 1991 with a Bachelor of Science in Art Education; 2001 Master of Science-Curriculum and Instruction) currently serving as North Canton High School art teacher and district art department chairman. The event will be in Ronk Lecture Hall in the Dwight Schar College of Education and is free and open to the public.
The AU Art + Design Department Alumni exhibition will run through Sept 30.
