Ohio New Photography Exhibition: Call for Entries
Ashland
University’s Coburn Gallery seeks photographs for the regional juried exhibition of works entitled Ohio New Photography June 26-July 31,
2016. Open to all artists residing in in the state of Ohio. Cash awards will be
given to Best in Show in each category as well as two honorable mentions.
Honey Lazar -Cleveland photographer will
serve as juror for the exhibition. She studied at The Cleveland Institute of Art and is
a lifelong workshop student. Selections
of her work are in permanent
collections at the Progressive Corporation, University Hospitals, and Southwest
General Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. Her photographs have exhibited
internationally, most recently in Malaga, Spain.
Honey works on long-term projects for exhibition and publication.
She photographs to immortalize loved ones, landscapes, and objects of desire
and has recently published, Loving Aunt Ruth:
Recipes for a Life Well-Lived. Honey says she loves everything about
photography especially the people she meets.
Photographs both traditional and digital will be accepted and all
work must be original art conceived and executed solely by the artist within
the last two years. The exhibition will
feature two categories: photographs taken by artists 18 and over, PLUS a
special category for young artists 17 years and under. Entrants are eligible to submit up to 2
artworks with a $15.00 entry fee. NO FEE for artists 17 years and younger.
All works must have been created within the last 2 years. Artists are
responsible for shipping costs to and from the gallery. The deadline is May 6,
